So long for now...
Dear Substack Subscriber,
I want to thank you for your prior support. In my retirement three years ago, I have taken up ‘writing’ as a hobby and an interest. During this time, I have struggled to find some platform where I could post my thoughts and reflections. Would it be Substack, Twitter, WhatsApp or Facebook?
In the past few years, I tried to create an iCloud library of essays, memoirs, travel, Rosen family history, etc., using Substack. For personal reasons, primarily having to do with a reluctance to send people unsolicited emails, I have decided — for the present — to stop using Substack. I reserve the right to change my mind, and it’s possible I may return to Substack sometime in the future.
However, for the present, I will be limiting my posting to Twitter. I have created an account on Premium X, (or Twitter). It will now be my exclusive ‘outlet’; and when I feel I have something to say, an ‘impulse’, so to speak, I will post it on my Twitter page, which is not limited to 240 characters. (I had to pay extra for the Premium account to write the ‘longer post’, but if you have the free version, you can still read the entire post without difficulty.)
If you are interested, here are the links to my first two postings on Twitter.

Culture Matters. The Frontal Lobe Matters
Obviously, I have been preoccupied with events in Gaza, and these first two postings are in response. (They are in an Op-ed format, but I don’t necessarily intend to restrict myself to this format for the future.)
Since I don’t expect to use Substack, this should be the last time you hear from me on email via your Substack subscription. I hope you will ‘follow’ me on Twitter. To do that, you need to have a Twitter account. Simply click one of the links above, and if you need to, you can easily create a free Twitter (or X) account. When the account opens, you should see a ‘Follow’ button by my name. Simply click it, and if I post anything, it should come into your ‘Twitter Feed’. (Simply put, so many millions of Twitter postings go out daily, that if you don’t ‘follow’ me, the chances are you’ll never see me.)
That’s all you have to do. (Remember, it’s free.)
Hoping to hear from you in the future,
Arnie
